I understand that the movie industry has a job to do and certain time lines to make a movie but in my opinion, these movies will allow for history to repeat itself. Recently, movie directors released Inglorious Bastards into theaters worldwide. The movie is based on a particular group that was selected to kill a man who killed a young girl's family. The young girl barely escaped. In another movie, Valkyrie, which is based on true events to end Hitler, failed. After Project Valkyrie failed, Hitler committed suicide.

So why the sudden increase in war movies, especially Holocaust films? Is the movie industry trying to lead us onto something down the road or are we living in a time where war and Holocaust movies are running up the box office.

I know for me it is hard to watch the previews of these movies knowing that all of those events took place. I don't understand why people would want to go see movies like these. Is it just for the pleasure of going to the movies or to feel like they were actually in the war and Holocaust? Or maybe they just want to understand a piece of history. I guess I'll never know...
